Vietnam 301 Rushed to Completion

The Trump Administration is rushing to complete a review of two Section 301 investigations involving Vietnam. Their goal appears to be imposing China-style trade remedy duties over the issues of currency manipulation and illegal logging before leaving office. With a little over a month remaining, USTR Lighthizer needs to hear public comments, adjudicate written comments, reach a conclusion and advise the President who must then determine whether or not to move forward and publish any action in the Federal Register.
